Obituary for Thomas Jordan Roylance Thomas Jordan Roylance, first-born son of Thomas E. and Diane C. Roylance, left this world unexpectedly on Saturday, December 8, 2018, succumbing to the effects of a 22-year battle with juvenile diabetes. Jordan was anxious to enter this world and was born a month premature in the early minutes of March 9, 1981 in Provo, Utah. After congratulating his parents on the birth of a beautiful blonde baby boy and getting him “presentable,” the attending nurse revised her statement by announcing “Whoa!

! He’s a bright red-haired little boy! ” Having been told by several doctors that they would never have children, his parents, were thrilled at his arrival, even if they did have to leave him in the NICU for a week before bringing him home.

The overwhelming love his parents felt for him was immediate and continues, especially during this difficult time. Jordan spent his first twelve years growing up in Orem, before moving to Lindon when he was. He was in the first-ever graduating class of Oak Canyon Junior High and then went on to attend both Pleasant Grove and Timpanogos high schools, receiving his high school diploma in 1999.

Jordan loved working with his hands which made him a talented musician and carpenter. He played in several bands and loved his music. His main profession was construction and carpentry where he excelled in in getting complicated angles just right and building both residential and commercial structures.

He was also an avid snowboarder and would get on the slopes whenever time and money would permit. On October 24, 2012, he married his long-time sweetheart, Ryssa Corsetti in Lindon. Typical of Jordan, their wedding was a fun event with dancing and Halloween treats, most of which he was unable to eat.

They were parents of Teejay and loved her beyond words. They spent most of their time living in Salt Lake County. Jordan leaves his daughter Teejay Roylance, Lindon, UT, her mother Ryssa Corsetti Roylance, Eagle Mountain, UT; parents Thom and Diane, three brothers Christopher (Michelle) Roylance, Tucson, AZ, Patrick (Caitlin) Roylance, Sunset, UT, and Sean (Kaitlyn) Roylance, Bartow, FL; one sister Anna (Robert) Nance Macomb, MI, and ten nieces and nephews.

He was also blessed with additional family members including, his grandmother, Nancy Roylance, American Fork, UT, Clark Newell, American Fork, UT, Dara (Paul) Poulsen, Heber, UT, Kent (Robyn) Newell, Eagle River, AK, and Ashlee (KC) Ushijima, Eagle Mountain, UT, along with 14 cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22 at the Lindon Stake Center, 1050 E 100 N, Lindon, Utah beginning at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the church.

Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Lindon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in Jordan’s behalf. The family expresses their gratitude to the Herriman and Lindon Police Departments for their kindness in delivering the message of Jordan’s passing.

They are also amazed and so grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many friends and neighbors during this difficult time. It has been a great of strength. They also wish to acknowledge and thank Premier Funeral Services for their kind and gentle professionalism in assisting the family at this difficult time.
