Obituary for Thomas Joseph McCawley, III Thomas Joseph McCawley, III, 77, of Culpeper passed away on August 25, 2018 at his beloved cabin in Canada. He was born January 2, 1941 in Washington, DC to the late Thomas Joseph McCawley, Jr. and Marie Nettles McCawley. He was a retired journeyman electrician from Local Union 26 (I.B.E.W.

) and an active member of the Elk Lodge # 2382 in Front Royal, VA. Mr. McCawley is survived by his eight children, Thomas Joseph McCawley, IV and his wife, Diane, David Charles McCawley, Denise Marie McCawley, Lisa Ann Sheppard and her husband, James, Deanna Lynn Coffey and her fiancé, Kenneth McCarty, Robert Wayne McCawley and his partner, Cindy Rinker, Kathy Michelle White and her husband, Patrick, and Maryanne Christine McCawley and her partner, George Rulapaugh; his sister, Kathleen P. Turner; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Violet Lee McCawley; and two sisters.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life ceremony on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Elk Lodge, 4088 Guard Hill Rd. , Front Royal, VA 22630 with Dennis Henline officiating. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
