Obituary for Thomas M. Martin Thomas M. Martin, 74, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Heritage House in Groves, Texas. Thomas was born in Charleston, West Virginia on September 21, 1943 to Richard D. Martin, Sr. and Evelyn L. Riddle Martin. Thomas was a member of the Nederland Independent School District School Board for 22 years and served as Board President.

He was a member of Kiwanis International, he had a love for dogs and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Those left to cherish Thomas’s memory include his mother, Evelyn L. Martin of Nederland; sons, Steven Martin and wife, Regina of Nederland, and Scott Martin and wife, Laurie of Nederland; sister, Rebecca D. Bourg and husband, Haden of Keller, Texas; brothers, Richard D. Martin, Jr. and wife, Jacquelyn of Beaumont, Texas, and David Martin of Nederland, Texas; grandchildren, Jordan Martin, Craig Martin, Jacob Martin and Kyle Martin; and a host of nieces and nephews. Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Richard D. Martin, Sr. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Upcoming Events Visitation , JUL 25.
