Thomas Samuel Jafferies , August 01, 1930 — November 07, 2018

Thomas Samuel Jafferies was born in San Francisco, California on August 1, 1930 and he died on November 7, 2018 at 88 years old. He was survived by his wife, Katheryn just five days short of their 35th anniversary. They moved to the Sacramento area in May of 1989 from Pacifica, California.

Tom enjoyed dancing and cruising. They met while he was out dancing and married nine months later. They had no children.

Tom was the youngest and only surviving of four siblings: Malcom and James Jafferies and Katherine Warren. His parents were Jimmy and Mae Jafferies. Jimmy immigrated from Greece and Mae was born here of Irish decent.

Tom had two sons, Arthur, who passed away and Stevie that lives somewhere on the east coast. He also had six stepchildren, that he considered his own from a prior marriage (Ernie, Larry, John, Steven, Darren Ryan and Laurie Grizzle). Tom was in the United States Army and a Veteran of the Korean War, He served in a medical unit assigned to a Marine Division.

He was a Christian and loved the Lord. We will be having a small Memorial Service with no reception on December 8. 2018 at 12:30 p.m. held at: Bayside Church of Citrus Heights 6540 Sylvan Road, Citrus Heights, California 95610 Instead of flowers you may make donations in his name to the Veterans or the S.P.C.A.
