On Friday, January 4, 2019 we lost our loving son, brother, nephew, friend to many and guardian to all. Tommy died as a result of severe injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Cleveland, Ohio. Tommy was born in Houston, Texas on February 24, 1983 and lived most of his life in the Akron/Tallmadge area.

He was a graduate of Tallmadge High School, Class of 2001 and the University of Akron with a B.S. in Accounting in 2009. Tommy worked as a Fire and Security Technician of Sievers Security in Cleveland. His work there will protect hundreds if not thousands of people in the North Eastern Ohio Area for years to come.

“Flash” Fatica or McGyver, as he was known to friends, was always laughing, smiling and a jovial person; who was kind and tender and ready to fix everything for everybody. He was honored to care for his grandparents when they needed special care. He loved friendly banter and was ready to discuss the cause and effect of any subject.

Tommy would tell his family and friends what was wrong with a particular design, or how to avoid the problem in the future and he won the hearts of everyone in this process. He loved to go camping, when he was younger and being technologically savvy, we basically went “glamping”. He loved working on classic sport cars and boats so much so that after restoring several sports cars, he put a race car engine in a speed boat, his two favorite things.

He was taken from us too early before he had a chance to grow old and fully live life. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfonso and Julia Fatica, Robert and Margaret Lawrence SR; step-father, Danny Beach and uncle, Robert E. Lawrence JR. Tommy is survived by his mother, Margaret “Peggy” Lawrence Fatica-Beach; father, Thomas J. Fatica; sister, Lauren S. Fatica; step-brother, Michael Beach; aunts and uncles, Mike and Debbie Fatica, Roberta and George Lamont III, Dave and Irene Lawrence, Sharon Lawrence and Sue and Dave Witt; close friends, The Congrove Family, Lisa Brown and Rennie Spaulding, along with numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Tommy’s funeral service will be held Friday, January 11th at 10 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave. , Barberton, Ohio 44203 with Rev. Theopolis Washington II officiating.

Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10th from 5 to 8 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Friends of Camp Christopher.
