Obituary for Thomas W. Rose Jr. RICHMOND, Ind. – Thomas W. Rose Jr., age 82, of Richmond, Indiana, went to be with his Lord Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Reid Health. Born September 13, 1936, in Beckley, West Virginia, to Thomas W. and Thelma Lucille McDaniel Rose Sr., Tom moved to Richmond in 2008.

He graduated from Ohio Northern College in 1959. Tom was a pharmacist, who owned Hurricane Pharmacy in Hurricane, West Virginia, for over 30 years. He later worked at CVS Pharmacy in West Virginia and Ohio.

Tom was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing music for the residents at Rosebud Village. Tom loved the Lord and his church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Nancy Ellen Gillespie Rose; daughter, Mary Ann (Kenneth David) Bane of Richmond; son, Michael (Connie) Rose of Des Moines, Iowa; grandsons, David Bradley (Cassie) Rose, Zachary Michael Rose, Wesley Simon Rose, Kenneth Colton Bane, and Marshal Thomas Bane; great-grandson, Brooks Leavitt Rose; sisters, Wanda J. (Ron) Bean of Sequim, Washington, Frances I. (Frank) DeFillipis of Beckley, West Virginia, and Hazel M. (Lee) Birkhead of Warrenton,Virginia; brother, Richard D. (Connie) Rose of Beckley, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Rose of Clearfield, Pennsylvania; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy V. Tillie; and brother, Robert M. Rose. Visitation for Thomas W. Rose Jr. will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3469 Hillcrest Road, Richmond.

Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Martin Holman officiating. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
