Thomas Wayne Miller August 18, 1948 – December 19, 2018 Thomas Wayne Miller, 70, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was the son of the late Lucy Miller Band and Monroe Miller. A native and lifelong resident of Slidell, Thomas was a 1968 graduate of Slidell High School and obtained an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Loyola University.

He was a Vietnam era Air Force Veteran and retired from the Slidell Police Department in 1997. He also spent 10 years with the Slidell City Marshal’s Office. He is survived by his wife of fifty years: Janice Miller; two children: Todd Miller (Claudia), Tracy Gant (Richard); five grandchildren: Mary Mac and Lucy Miller, and Raegan, Samantha and Owen Gant; three sisters and a brother, Daryl Miller (Cheryl), Cheryl Duthu (Ray), Charlotte Elias (the late Randy Elias), Elizabeth Johnson (Larry); nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Predeceased by numerous beloved family members and friends. Born: August 18, 1948 Death: December 19, 2018 He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 2732. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, in Slidell.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by funeral services at 1 1 :00am. Burial will be in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. In leiu of flowers please donate to either St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, or Dr. Oliver Sartor, Medical Directir, Tulane Cancer Center, 1430 Tulane Ave.
