Obituary of Thomas M. McCloskey Thomas M. McCloskey, 63, died Monday March 11, 2019 at his home in Lafayette Hill. He was born in Norristown PA, on November 17th 1955, son of the late William and Carolyn McCloskey and is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan (Brett); his four sons and their wives Matthew (Leann), Michael, Timothy (Amanda), and Sean; his three grandchildren Ryan, Jacob and Brycen; his siblings and their spouses Anthony, Joseph (Nancy), Carolyn White (Ken), James (Maureen) and Patrick (Donna). He was predeceased by his brother William and his wife Patricia, and his sister-in-law Karen.

Born and raised in the Whitemarsh section of Conshohocken he spent much of his life dedicated to the service of others. Starting with Barren Hill Fire Company in 1974 where his years of service earned him a life membership. He also volunteered as an EMT with Whitemarsh Community Ambulance Association and Spring Mill Fire Company.

Tom imparted his love of playing sports to his children and others as a coach in Whitemarsh Little League, Plymouth Soccer and as the soccer coach for Saint Philip Neri, CYO. An avid fisherman, Tom loved passing on this knowledge to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening especially when accompanied by his grandchildren.

Tom was a hardworking man dedicated to his family and the community. Please join us in celebrating his life at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike; Lafayette Hill, PA 19444. A viewing will be held Sunday March 17th from 3pm to 5pm and there will be a viewing the following morning, Monday, March 18th from 10am to 11am with Mass beginning at 11:00 AM.
