Obituary of Thomas Hudak Thomas R. Hudak, 93, of Greenfield Township, PA passed away on September 13, 2018 at his home with his daughter and granddaughters by his side. Jesus took Thomas’ hand leading him to be with his beloved wife, the former Marie S. Koval, who passed away on August 25, 1997. Thomas was born in Jessup, PA, son of the late Michael and Anna Stankosky Hudak.

He attended Jessup schools. He was employed at Corpus Christi Church in Montdale until his retirement. He lived at his home on Chapman Lake for 50 years, then in Greenfield Township with his daughter and granddaughter.

He loved his departed wife of 52 years, his children, and his grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, and he especially loved to listen to music, take pictures and videos, and chat on his computer with his email buddies. His greatest accomplishment in life was marrying his wife, Marie, raising a family, and attending the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on weekends in every Roman Catholic Church from Forest City to Scranton and Luzerne County.

He was especially proud of his Slovak heritage and ethnic foods prepared by his late wife, Marie. He is survived by a son, Rev. Thomas R. Hudak, Moosic, PA; two daughters, Ann Marie E. Perkoski, his caregiver, Greenfield Township, PA and Marian J. Hudak, Moosic, PA; twin granddaughters, Valerie L. Perkoski, Binghamton, NY and Victoria R. Perkoski, Greenfield Township, PA; and many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.

He was the last living survivor of twelve children (eight brothers and three sisters), and was preceded in death by son-in-law, Edward M. Perkoski, Jr. As per his request, there was no calling hours or services. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Scott Township, PA, at the convenience of his daughter and granddaughters. He would like to acknowledge the loving care provided by his daughter, Ann Marie, and granddaughters, Valerie and Victoria.

Without them, he would not have been able to live alone in his own home for the past twelve years. Thomas’ family would like to thank Traditional Home Health and Hospice for its support as well as all of Thomas’ medical providers for their exceptional care over the past several years. Thomas greatly appreciated the messages and videos he received from his medical staff, family, and friends on his 93rd birthday, a few weeks ago.

Donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Cemetery Association or Greenfield Township Hose Company. Arrangements were under the care of Margotta Funeral Homes.
