OBITUARY T.I. Denning Jr. June 21, 1935 – January 8, 2019 T. I. Denning Jr., age 83 of Dunn passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Memorial. He was born June 21, 1935 in Sampson County the son of the late Thomas Denning and Lena Norris Denning. He is also preceded in death by his son, Donald Denning.

T.I. was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time on any body of water fishing. He was a farmer by trade who enjoyed the crops he tended and the smell of fresh tilled earth while he plowed the fields. T.I. was a kind and gentle man, soft spoken and devoted to his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 26 years, JoAnn Denning; daughters, Rethida Denning of Four Oaks, NC; Charlene Beasley and husband Mike of Clayton, NC; Step daughter Lisa Barefoot of Cameron, NC; Brother, Jesse Denning and wife Diane; sister, Bethodill Sessoms and husband Arnold of Erwin; Daughter in Law, Tammy Denning of Sneads Ferry, NC; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild and numerous other loving family. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 12, 2018 at Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 784 Maple Grove Church Rd, Dunn, NC 28334 with Reverend Allison Lancaster and Reverend Mike Beasley Officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Dunn. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Maple Grove United Methodist Church. Arrangements are in the care of Cromartie Miller Funeral Home.
