Proud and loving father, beloved son and brother, passed peacefully into the loving arms of God in the early hours of April 25, 2019, with family by his side and surrounded by music and prayer. The son of Alfred and Rita (Kostrzewa) Demko, Tim was born September 26, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was the eldest grandson of Joseph and Anna Kostrzewa.

Tim grew up in Carrolton, Michigan, attending primary school at St Josaphat’s and high school at St. Andrew’s and was an Eagle Scout. He studied accounting at Central Michigan University, and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge, Tim worked for B&K Corporation (now Kuka Corporation).

He was named vice president and member of the board. Tim then worked for CPI Engineering as financial controller, when he began coaching youth soccer and basketball in Saginaw Township. His kind and encouraging nature won him the public gratitude of players and their parents.

Tim’s love and talent for encouraging children led him to leave his business career and pursue a second degree in teaching. He graduated cum laude from Saginaw Valley State University in 1995, though political and philosophical differences kept him from a full-time teaching career. Tim also loved the water.

He enjoyed sailing his Hobie Cat and, later, his sailboat around Lake Michigan with his family. For peace and renewal, he returned to the fishing spot he shared with his father and took long drives along Michigan highways. He was a lifelong anti-abortion advocate.

He endeavored to teach his sons wisdom and Christian values, though this became difficult as he succumbed to multiple illnesses. He is survived by elder son Kyle (Yoshiko) with grandchildren Joseph and Leanna, younger son Evan (Megan) with grandchildren Russell and Mackinaw, his parents, Rita and Alfred, sister Jeanine Cardinal (Mark) and niece Meagan Valley (Brad). He is now with God and enjoying the company of his uncle and mentor Val Kostrzewa and many other family members who arrived before.
