Timothy Andrew Robinson May 29, 1949 – December 31, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Timothy Andrew Robinson, 69 of 979 West Chapel Rd. entered into eternal rest Monday, December 31, 2018 at Mission Hospital’s Memorial Campus. Timothy was a son of Jesse Timothy and Margaret Miller Robinson.

Both parents preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by a brother, Michael Kenneth Robinson. Tim was a 1967 graduate of South French Broad High School and a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Viet Nam Era.

He retired from Grove Park Inn and worked for years at Gerald’s Fireplace Restaurant as well as other food service businesses in Asheville. He loved to cook, watch sports especially college football. He also enjoyed watching old movies and listening to music.

Before his illness he loved to dance and loved to tell people his sister taught him how to dance with a “broom”. Tim had a deep love for his family and had a very generous heart. He had numerous friends and enjoyed talking and reminiscing with them.

During the course of his illness he never complained. He always accepted what he was faced with at the time. He often told me to he knew he was blessed beyond his expectations.

Those left to cherish his memory are a son, Timothy Blair (Sherry); his loving and devoted sister, Brenda R. Davidson (Arthur); brothers, Anthony S. Robinson (Denise) of Charlotte, NC and Ralph “Ray” E. Robinson of the home. Tim will also be remembered by grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He had a special love for his 1967 South French Broad Classmates.

A special thanks to Leesa Young, CNA; Joyce Shabazz for all your help. Also to Danny “Cub” Foster for always sticking by his side to help whenever he was needed and his cousin, Cedric Johnson for helping him as well. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Nazareth First Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will be Tuesday January 8th 10 a.m. at WC State Veteran’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Arrangements are under the direction of Hart Funeral Service.
