Timothy Wayne “Tim” Anderson, 74, passed away peacefully at his Thermopolis, Wyoming residence Monday, November 26, after a long battle with Leukemia. Born August 28, 1944 in Merced, California, he was one of five children of Albert and Madell (Meyers) Anderson. Growing up on a dairy farm he milked over 50 cows by hand before school and after.

He graduated from Merced High School and began working as a mechanic for John Roth Chevrolet. After leaving the dealership, he pursued his dream of law enforcement. He was a Deputy Sheriff for 20 years along with being an active member of the Merced County SWAT Team.

He also served in the Army National Guard for four years. Tim married his long time love of 54 years, Geneva “Jean” Taylor. To this union was born three children.

After his service in the Army, Tim and Jean moved to Thermopolis in 1990. During that time, they opened a restaurant called, “Mean Jean’s Pizza”. Tim also worked as a bus driver at the Senior Citizens Center.

Serving as an elected board member of the Hot Springs County Rural Fire District for 15 years, Tim had a passion for the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish with his family while enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. His faith in God always surpassed the pain he felt each and every day.

He trusted in the promise of the Lord until his final breath Loved ones cherishing his love include his wife, Jean; children, Susan Little, Christine Anderson and Timothy Wayne Anderson II; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; siblings, Irene, John (Carol) Anderson and Evelyn (Chuck) Hasenkamp. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Neal and son-in-law, Clay Little. A Celebration of Tim’s life will be Monday, December 3, 11:00 am at the Risen Son Southern Baptist Church in Thermopolis.
