Toby Jay Hargadine was born in Broken Bow, Nebraska on January 3, 1982 and went home to be with Jesus on his 37th birthday, January 3, 2019. Toby left his earthly home due to an automobile accident near Kremmling, Colorado. Toby was the second son born to David and Deborah Russell Hargadine, welcomed by older brother Joseph.

The family lived on the Russell Family Farm near Gates, Nebraska, the first two years of his life, moving to Kremmling in 1984. Toby’s younger brother, Michael, joined the family in 1986. Toby attended West Grand Schools kindergarten through high school, graduating in 2000.

During his high school years he enjoyed and participated in all sports offered. He was active in youth group, Kremmling Youth Night (KYN), other church activities and later going on mission trips to Australia and Jamaica. Toby loved Mt.

Elim Bible Camp as a camper and later as a leader. Toby had aviation training in Rangely, Colorado and at Aims Community College. He attended a Worship School training at New Life Church in Colorado Springs and 9th hour training at Vine Life in Longmont, Colorado.

For several years Toby was one of the leaders for the multi-church youth group in Kremmling. He was active in the family’s early businesses of rafting, dog sled rides and races, and outfitting. In the last few years he coached basketball and volleyball at West Grand High School and was a substitute teacher.

Toby drove a FED EX truck and also worked as a ranch hand for the Yust Ranch and the Culbreath Ranch. He was also involved in “The Gathering” Worship Ministry. Toby loved living in Kremmling and he loved this beautiful country, the Sportsman’s Paradise, the “Center of the Universe,” that he got to call home.

Toby was an avid archery hunter known for killing elk at short range and loved photographing the mountains and wildlife. But Toby’s greatest passion was loving Jesus and loving his family and friends. His legacy lives on in all the lives he touched and people he cared about.

He leaves behind his loving family: Parents – Dave and Debbie Hargadine, Kremmling. Brothers – Joe (Sarah) Hargadine, Everest and McKinley, Mead, Colorado; Michael (Lorraine) Hargadine, Dubai, UAE Grandmother- Marjorie Russell, Broken Bow, Nebraska. Aunts – Marian (Hal) Williams, Merna, Nebraska; Maurine Ritter, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Uncles – Duane (Marjorie) Russell , Gates, Nebraska; Richard (Karen) Hargadine, Belgrade, Nebraska; Russell (MaryJo) Hargadine, Kremmling; Jeff (Margaret) Hargadine, Denver. Cousins- Jacob (Carla) Hargadine, Kremmling; Amy Gilmore, Gracie and Elijah, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Thaddeus (Kelsey), Spero, Kremmling, Peter (Joelle), Denver, Laura (Peter) Aukstolis, Cedar Falls, Iowa; Rose (Ricky) Gamblin, Kremmling; Darin (Rebecca) Hargadine, Yuma, Arizona; Sherri (Chris) Scaggiari, Brighton; Chadd (Dana) Russell, Omaha, Nebraska; Todd (Arika) Russell, Cozad, Nebraska; Trent (Lisa) Russell, Gates, Nebraska; Troy Russell, Scottsbluff, Nebraska; Aaron Ritter, Lincoln, Nebraska; Ellen (Mark) Parlenti, Chicago,Illinois and many friends from all over.
