Tom H. Smith August 27, 1938 – March 13, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences Tom H. Smith of Campbellsville, son of the late Tom Parker Smith and Eva Farris Smith, was born August 27, 1938 in Hart County, Kentucky. He died at 3:47 P.M., Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Louisville at the age of 80. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Tom graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture and worked as a milk inspector, a district executive with the Boy Scouts of America, an EMT with the Taylor County Rescue Squad, a Teacher’s Aid in the Taylor County School System and a contractor/electrician. He was a Ham Radio Operator and member of the Central Kentucky Amateur Radio Club, call sign WD4DIH. He united in marriage to Earldeen “Deen” Atwood June 20, 1960 and she preceded him in death on October 8, 2018.

He is survived by two daughters: Tommi Hamilton and husband, Bob of Montgomery, Texas and Terri Gabriel and husband, T. J. of Gainesville, Georgia; five grandchildren: Derek Hamilton of Austin, Texas, Dagny Hamilton of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Davis Gabriel, Elliot Gabriel and Hayes Gabriel of Gainesville, Georgia and many other relatives and friends.
