Yeary will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, February 14 at Waldo Funeral Home. Mr. Yeary went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 8 at the age of 67. Tom was born September 18, 1951 to the late Jack and Leeola (Moore) Yeary in Sherman.

He attended Sherman schools and graduated in 1970. Tom was employed by Molded Fiber Glass Company in Gainesville as their Purchasing Manager for 12 years. He had also worked at Anderson Clayton Foods/Kraft Foods for 23 years in their Production and Accounting Departments and at Reedrill in Pottsboro for 11 years in the Aftermarket and Scheduling Departments.

He lived his adult life completely devoted to his three sons, four grandsons, and one great grandson. Mr. Yeary served as President of the Sherman Jaycees and was elected to the JCI Senate. He was also president of the Sherman Noon Lions Club and president of the Shawnee Trailride Association for many years.

He also served on the Sadler/Southmayd ISD School Board for 8 years, 7 years as president, was president of the S&S FFA Chapter for many years and had been elected as a lifetime member. He was nominated as an outstanding Young Man of America in his early years. Tom’s hobbies included fishing, hunting, outdoors and his horses.

He enjoyed and spent much of his time sharing those hobbies with his sons and grandsons. He was involved in all their activities and coached their Little League teams, helped with FFA projects and all school activities. Mr. Yeary was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by three sons, Tim and wife Tomi of Sherman, Kevin and wife Holly of Sherman, and Chris of Sherman; four grandsons, Nigel Yeary and wife Sara, Mason Yeary, Seth Yeary, and Weston Yeary; one great grandson, Daxton Yeary; brother, Jim Yeary of Denison; two sisters, Carol Yeary and Debbie Miller, both of Denison; several nieces and nephews; and “The Love of His Life”. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
