Obituary for Tomasa M. Orosco December 29, 1929 – November 19, 2018 Tomasa M. Orosco passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side on November 19, 2018 and will now be reunited with the love of her life, Raymond S. Orosco, who left us in 1982. Tomasa leaves behind her 7 children; Mary Gomez (Tony), Linda Autrand, Frances Montgomery (David), Ray Orosco, Jr. (Janice), Jesse Orosco (Leticia), Eleanor Harvey (John) and Sandra Worth (Mark). Tomasa also leaves behind 4 brothers and 3 sisters: Gaby Mata, Lalo Mata (Margaret), Frank Mata (Terri), Ray Mata, Bernie Jimenez, Josie Zamora and Mary Garcia (Rudy).

She had 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tomasa is preceded in death by her mother and father Abelino and Lenor, her husband Raymond Orosco Sr., her son Baby Raymond and her sister Eleanor “Dee Dee” Visueta. Mom worked most of her life, the most memorable job being working for Robitaille Candy for over 30 years.

There she found happiness working for a wonderful Mom and Pop candy store where she was treated as part of the family. She loved baseball and had many favorite teams. For play time, she loved Bingo and playing at the Chumash Casino Keno machines.

She shared yearly trips to Las Vegas with her daughters (girls night out). We want to thank Hospice of Lompoc for all their hard work and dedication. Without them, this journey with our mother would have been much more difficult.

Our thanks also to Edgar who came and sang, prayed and laughed with our mother. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Friday, November 30th, 1:00pm at the Welch-Ryce-Haider Funeral Chapel, 15 E. Sola St., Santa Barbara, Ca. 93101.
