Tommy Glen Peavler Funeral services for Tommy Glen Peavler will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Osage Gardens Cemtery with Dr. Jim Standridge and Jeff Wooden officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home. Tommy Glen Peavler, age 77, of Skiatook passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at his residence.

Tom was born May 28, 1940 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to Glen “Sport” and Bessie Lee (Edwards) Peavler. Tom grew up and received his education in Skiatook where he graduated in 1958. Tom had also attended Oklahoma State University.

Tom entered into the United States Army in 1960 and received his honorable discharge in 1963. Tom married Paula Sue Sanderson on September 26, 1970 in Tulsa making their home in Tulsa until moving to Skiatook in 1984. Tom was employed with Snows Furniture where he was a salesman for 33 years.

Tom had also been employed with Dillards where he was in lady’s shoe sales. Tom enjoyed wood working, crafts, working in his yard and playing the guitar. Tom was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents: Glen “Sport” and Bessie peavler, one brother and one sister. Tom is survived by his wife Paula, daughter: Rachel Rebekah Peavler, one grandchild: Nyla Rose Peavler, one grandchild on the way: Tommie Rae Peavler and a host of other relatives and friends. The family of Tom Peavler entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
