Travis Wayne Jones, 83, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on June 29, 1935 in Port, Oklahoma. He is the son of William Guy and Rose Ann (Colwel) Jones. He passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Travis served in the United States Army from 1956 until being honorably discharged in 1962. He married the love of his life, Minnie Louise Tyarks on August 28, 1959. Travis was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma.

… Read More » He enjoyed working for Wakonda and Waubeek boy scout camp in Iowa, which he did for about 25 years. He loved joking with everyone, going to Falls Creek with the church and helping his family get by. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Main Street Baptist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Pastor Larry Parvin will officiate. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Cherishing his memory are his wife, Minnie Louise of the home; one son David Jones and one daughter, Brenda Jones both of Elk City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Beryl Jones of Edmond, Oklahoma, Bobby Jones of Elk City, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Guy and Rose Ann Jones; an infant daughter, Beth Ann Jones and one brother, Harold Jones. Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 707, Elk City, Oklahoma 73648.
