Trent Garrett Johnson, 42, of Fort Madison, died at 5:25 PM Monday, December 3, 2018, in Fort Madison. Born September 17, 1976, in Burlington, he was the son of Terry Cecil and Toni Lynn Gillis Johnson. On April 13th, he married Angel Guzman in Fort Madison.

He was a 1995 graduate of Burlington High School. He loved motorcycles, tinkering, and roller coasters. Most of all he loved his daughter.

Survivors include his parents Terry of Baring MO and Toni of Burlington; his wife Angel Johnson of Fort Madison; one daughter, Zoe Lynn Johnson of Fort Madison; three step-sons, Cruz and Noah Fedler of Sacramento, CA and Jace Fedler of Fort Madison; one step-daughter, Carly Fedler of Fort Madison; two brothers, Tony (Tresha) Johnson of Coralville, and Tyler (Hilary) Johnson of Fort Madison; two sisters, Tammy Thompson of FL, Mandy Renee McDonald (J.R. Herrick) of Algona, IA; and his niece and nephews: Tristen Roberts, Saylor, Rivor, Kyler, Layke, and Oliver Johnson, Michael Herrick and Jackson Guzman, and one grandmother Ada Lorene Massaro. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cecil Jr Gillis and Cecil and Patricia Johnson. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2018 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. The Graveside Committal Service for Trent will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Carman Cemetery with Lance Guzman officiating. A memorial has been established for his daughter.
