Tsuyako – Nakamura December 15, 1931 – January 13, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Tsuyako (Hirai) Nakamura passed away on January 13, 2019 at the age of 87. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Tsuya was born in Oxnard on December 15, 1931.

She was one of eleven brothers and sisters with her surviving sister, Kik Horikawa from Half Moon Bay, California. Tsuya worked hard her entire life and with her late husband, James Nakamura, helped establish a flourishing farming business that her son, Gary, and grandson, Jeff, continue to run. She was known for her loving personality, kind and generous heart, sweet laugh, and signature dishes.

Tsuya was the heart of her family. She is predeceased by her husband James (2013); survived by her son Gary (wife Sue) and daughter Linda, granddaughters Lisa and Lindsay, grandsons Jeff (wife Erika) and Jaime, great-granddaughters Kaylee, Kristy, and Leanna and great-grandson Jeffrey. The family would like to thank her caregivers that took good care of her and were her companions the last few years of her life.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 11am at the Oxnard Buddhist Temple, 250 So H St, Oxnard. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Oxnard Buddhist Temple and Fukui Mortuary, Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Oxnard Buddhist Temple or your favorite charity.
