Tyrice Douglas Sr. June 28, 1991 – May 6, 2019 Tyrice D. Douglas Sr., 27, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, May 6, 2019, at Unity Point – St. Lukes. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the Church. Homegoing Services will be 12 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located at 4401 42nd Street NE.

Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Tyrice was born on June 28, 1991 in Davenport, the son of Tyrice R. Douglas and Delores R. Harris. He attended Metro High School in Cedar Rapids.

Tyrice formerly worked at Whirlpool and later in construction. He also coached youth football and basketball. Even though he did not have an amazing voice, he thought he could sing like Usher and that was one of his ways of making us laugh.

Tyrice was such a joy in our lives so fun and full of energy. He will be truly missed. Tyrice is survived by his children Taniyah Douglas, Tyrice Douglas Jr., and Marquis Kendall Nichols-Douglas; his mother Delores Harris; his special aunt Frieda Harris-Hobbs; father Tyrice R. Douglas; siblings Dajahne Douglas of Roseville, Minnesota, Terriana Harris, Chauncy Westerfield, Olajwon Westerfield, Danita Westerfied, Kiana Westerfield, Edward Harris III all of Davenport, Davon Harris and Javon Harris both of Iowa City; special cousins Roy Johnson Jr., Darius Johnson and Denise Johnson.

Tyrice was preceded in death by his brother, Travell Harris-Westerfield. Memorials may be directed to the family.
