TYRONE HOLMES August 10, 1965 – January 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Tyrone Howard Holmes was born August 10, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Matilda and Levi Howard Sr He attended public school in New Orleans, Louisiana. Matilda’s love, time and life, was devoted to Tyrone’s care until she became ill and could no longer care for him.
In 2005, he moved to Natchitoches, Louisiana, where he united with St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. He was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Leo J. Walker, Jr. Tyrone moved to Houston, Texas in January 2014. Upon moving to Houston, Texas, he united with Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership or Reverend Arthur Brooks, Jr., where he remained until his death on January 6, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matilda and Levi Howard, Sr.; grandparents, Cerena Petite, Emmanuel Howard, Sr. and Lucresy, Jessie and Kermit Collins Sr.; four siblings, Levi Jr., Gwendolyn Marie, Linda Sue and Vernon Ray Howard Sr He was also preceded in death by six aunts, Henrietta, Viretta, Pearlie B., Gladys, Ada, Anna and seven uncles, Clinton, Terry, Emmanuel, Jr., Jimmie, Charles, Frank and Kermit Collins, Jr.. Tyrone leaves to cherish his most precious memories (3) sisters: Melanie Thomas (Ray Bindon) of New Orleans, Louisiana, Patricia Howard Crockett (Granny) and Marjorie Howard-Johnson of Houston, Texas; and (3) brothers: Lee Autry Holmes (Cynthia), Michael W. Howard of Houston, Texas and Billy Ray Holmes of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Tyrone also leaves to cherish his memories (3) aunts: Gussie Smith (Richard), Shirley Howard Mock and Juanita Fowler (Freddie, Sr.); (3) uncles: William Howard (Wilma), Donald Howard Sr. (Linda) and Billy Howard Sr. (Jacqueline) of Natchitoches, Louisiana; special nieces: Felicia Howard King, Dana Howard Byrd, Amberjae Hunter and Destiny Howard-Crockett; step-mom, Dorothy Howard; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and church family.
