Valdis Gillespie Roth, age 81, passed away peacefully Monday June 18, 2018 at Ashford Assisted Living and Memory Care in Springville, Utah. Val was born January 24, 1937 in Provo, Utah to Wilford Sharp and Olive Diantha Jones Gillespie. Val worked as a LPN in the OB department at Duchesne County Hospital for 28 years.

After retiring, Val and her husband George Roth served a LDS mission in Eugene, Oregon. Val cherished friends and kept in touch with them throughout her life. Val enjoyed being the center of attention and will always be known for doing things her way.

Val is survived by her children Kevin & (Debra) Cox, Terrie & (Gary) Mathis, Dixie & (Gary) Rollins, Robin & (Todd Losee) Johnson, Scott & (Nancy) Cox, Chad & (Sally) Roth, Lisa & (Bud) Baum, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Val was preceded in death by her beloved husband George Roth, daughter Alicia Bateman, parents, and brother Roger Gillespie. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
