After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer Disease, Valeria Alita Renfroe, 93, peacefully died on Tues. June 5, 2018 at Lackey Convalescent Home in Forest, MS with her family and friends by her side. Visitation will be held on Thurs.

June 7, 2018 from 12:45pm-1:30pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 1:30pm on Thurs. June 7, 2018 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Eastern Cemetery in Forest, MS.

Officiating the services will be Dr. Clarence Cooper and Rev. Claude Shufelt. Pallbearers are Jimmy Carpenter, Billy Price, James Harris, Bradley Atkins, Glenn Ainsworth and Jack Lee.

Mrs. Renfroe was born in Cash, Mississippi, near Lena, in the original Milner family home. On Oct. 10, 1946, she was married to Horace E. Renfroe, until his death in Oct.

2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Valeria Milner; one brother, Benjamin Clifton Milner and one sister, Mary Renfroe. Mrs. Renfroe retired after many years as the Business Office Manager at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest, MS.

She faithfully attended Forest United Methodist Church until her failing health made it necessary for her and her husband of 60 years to move to Brandon, MS in 2002. She was also a member of Cash Baptist Church in the Cash Commuity. Survivors include her son, Donald Renfroe and his wife Marianna of Hattiesburg, MS; daughter, Cassandra Oakes and her husband Joe of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Mandy, Beth and Tara; sisters, Margie Townsend of Gulfport, MS and Minnie Joe Harris of Decatur, MS and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
