Valerie Lynn Russell (Wrubel) passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2019 surrounded by family, friends, and many relatives. She leaves a huge emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her. She was born February 16, 1962 to Norma (Suarez) Wrubel and Daniel Andrew Wrubel Sr

She was a 1980 graduate of Lamphere High School in Madison Heights, Michigan where she was quite active in High School reunions and gatherings with many school friends. She was an avid shopper and loved to go camping. She is survived by her husband Gary Russell, children Modesta (Nick), Nathaniel (Amanda) and Michael.

Nana to Jeffery, Alexa, Kameron, Emma and McKenna. Sisters Nina Wrubel (Cathy), Deanna Wrubel-Rogers, and brother Dan Wrubel Jr. and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm, the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 27th at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.

Burial will be at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the family. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Valerie Lynn Russell please visit our Sympathy Store.
