Family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 6:00PM on Sunday, February 3, 2019, in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church, 209 South Miller Street in Fort Valley. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, February 4, 2019, at Oaklawn Cemetery, 720 South Camellia Boulevard in Fort Valley, with Rev.

Ed McQueen officiating. Born in Fort Valley to the late Dr. Vassar and Hulda Pearson Rackley, Mr. Rackley attended ABAC and Georgia Southwestern College and was a member of First Baptist Church. He served in the National Guard and was retired from Rackley Farms.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty Naugle Rackley; son, Vassar E. Rackley IV (Julie); daughter, Katheryn Rackley Ganster (Alex); grandchildren, Richard Ganster, Georgia Ganster, and Josey Rackley; and brother and sister in law, Tommy and Brenda Rackley. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jane Rackley Simpson. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Together We Grow at First Baptist Church in Fort Valley.

Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley is in charge of arrangements.
