Obituary Service Details Vera Mayweather was called home to rest on September 15, 2016. She was born on November2, 1934 in Ocala, Fl to the late Samuel Edwards and Thelma E. Adams. She attended Howard Academy in Ocala,Fl.

She worked as a Certified Histology technician at Munroe Regional for many years. She was married to Joseph Mayweather for 65 years. To this union, seven children were born.

She was a faithful member of Siloam Missionary Baptist Church. In her early years, she was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Vera Mayweather was very active in the community and was associated with many organizations.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted husband, Joseph Mayweather, children; Barbara Coleman (Ronald) of Orange Park, Fl, Joseph R. Mayweather, Glenda R. Mayweather, Verdie Mayweather (Gwen), Robert Mayweather, Joan Franklin ( Curtis) and Warner Mayweather, all of Ocala,FL; grandchildren, Vernesha Mayweather, Vera Nez Josey (Nick), Verdie Mayweather Jr. ( Taunesha), Laquandela “Shay” Mayweather, Robert Mayweather Jr., Jamiera Franklin and Lillie Mayweather, great-grandchildren; Gabriel, Angelique, James, Laila and Joshua; brother, Samuel Edwards Jr. ( Ann), sisters; Maxine Osbourne, Shirley Stafford, Ethel Harrell, and Alice Folk all of Ocala, Fl; goddaughter, Suzanne Saunders of Jamaica, NY; dear friend, Alice Johnson; special grand pooch, Ashley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. Visitation for Vera Mayweather will be on Friday September 23, 2016 from 10am to 5 pm at Clark Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 24, 2016 at 11 am at Mt Moriah Baptist Church, 55 SW 3rd Ave, Ocala, Fl 34471.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Funeral Home.
