Vera Joyce Myers, 75, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born October 22, 1943 in Niles, Michigan, the daughter of the late Eucile “Buzz” and Cora (Little) Hayworth. She was married to Marlin R. Myers on July 1, 1967 in Mishawka, Indiana; he survives.

Vera was a 1963 graduate of the Indiana School for the Deaf. She was a faithful member of Christian Life Church of the Deaf in Indianapolis. She enjoyed her family, making and painting ceramics, and crosswords and word search puzzles.

Survivors include her husband, Marlin Myers; daughter, Dawn Higgins and husband, Johnny of Thorntown; son, Tony Myers and wife, Kim of Jamestown; grandchildren, Andrew Myers, Austin (Erin) Myers, Kiana Myers, Kae Myers, Jourdan Higgins, Noelani Myers; brother, Eugene “Buzzie” (Debbie) Hayworth; sister, Shirley (Dean) Munger; along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 noon on Friday, March 22, 2019, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Indiana, with Rev. Kevin Hamilton, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home in Lebanon Interment will follow services at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
