Obituary for Vera Viola Person Vera Viola Person, 86, of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, died November 15, 2018 at her home surrounded by all her family in Pine Bluffs. She was born November 4, 1932 at Burns, Wyoming to Floyd and Alice (Flattery) Lemaster but lived her entire childhood on the family farm 20 miles West of Albin, Wyoming. She graduated from Albin High School in 1950 and married the love of her life, David “Charlie” Person on June 1, 1952 in Pine Bluffs.

They lived in the same small humble country home in Banner County, Nebraska for 62 years before relocating to Pine Bluffs in 2014. She was an active life time member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Pine Bluffs and St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Albin. She was also a member of the CCW where she helped with various church fund raising activities, especially the Fall dinner.

She stayed home to raise her children but also worked at the Albin café for 27 years. She loved dancing and playing cards with her many friends. Her unique sense of humor and zest for enjoying life always brought happiness to those around her.

Viola’s wealth in life was measured simply by the respect and love she had from family and friends. Everyone affectionately knew Charlie and Viola as “Mommy-O” and “Daddy-O” and their kitchen table and home were often the social center for family and friends. Everyone that came to visit during her last days always commented on how much fun she was to have around and the many fun-loving pranks she’d play on people.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Joyce) Person of North Platte, NE, Rita (James) Stauffer of Banner County, John (Marion) Person of Norfolk, VA, Kimberly (Kip) Greenstreet of Littleton, CO, and DeeDee (David) Shade of Bentonville, AR; brothers, John Lemaster of Albin and Van Lemaster of Cheyenne; 14 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; and numerous friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Alice Lemaster; husband, David “Charlie” Person; three brothers, Earl, Calvin and Gene; and two sisters, Wreatha Hodgeman and Eileen Bollig. A rosary will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Pine Bluffs with a funeral liturgy to be celebrated on Saturday, November 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr.
