OBITUARY Verna T. Hutson November 29, 1922 – October 10, 2018 Verna T. Hutson, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. She was born on November 29, 1922 in Denver, CO to the late Delbert Walters Jr. and Bethel T. (Cole) Herman. She was born a twin and he preceded her in death at 4 months old.

She was a Den Mother for several years in Cub Scouts. She was a hospital volunteer and a Red Cross volunteer and worked the 1982 flood. She worked as a beautician from her home then later worked and retired from Es Machinery Terminals.

Verna was proud that she earned her GED in 1982. She was very active at North Highlands Presbyterian Church and later at Woodburn Missionary Church. Verna was always on-the-go.

Verna is survived by her daughter, Beth E. (Rick) Robertson of West Lafayette, IN; sons, Robert J. (Robin) Hutson of Ravenna, OH, Russell W. (Barbara) Hutson of Woodburn, IN, and Richard M. Hutson of Woodburn, IN; grandchildren, Cherie` (Kenny) Schlatter, Philip (Liz) Hutson, MaryBeth (Mark) Scherer, Jenny (Kevin) Snyder, Dean (Angie) Robertson, Robert (Sarah) Robertson, Rachel (Gabe) Friedman, Patrick Hutson, Anthony Hutson, and Barbara Hutson; 13 great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Jo Ann Tompkins. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by grandson, David Hutson. Funeral service will be on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at Woodburn Missionary Church (5108 Bull Rapids Road, Woodburn, IN 46797) with visitation beginning at 9:00 am until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Woodburn Missionary Church and Parkview Hospice.
