Veronica Hudson Whalen was born in Syracuse, New York on January 31, 1922 to Charles Williard and Mary Elizabeth Hudson. She departed into the arms of our Loving Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the age of 97. Those who knew Veronica know that they “broke the mold” when she came into this world.

Her unique perspectives on life, her unfailing love of her family and her Catholic faith, and her truly Irish sense of humor will never be forgotten. She spent many years teaching religious education and several years as a volunteer counselor at the California Youth Authority. She was the last of four children (siblings Charles, Genevieve and Evelyn, all of whom preceded her).

She is survived by two sons, James (Eileen) and Terry (Maureen) Whalen, along with grandchildren McKenzie, Keiran, Aidan and Micaela.
