Obituary for Victor G McCullough Victor Glen McCullough 1921-2018 Victor Glen McCullough, 97, passed away peacefully at Park Lane Assisted Living on May 27th, 2018, surrounded by his wife, Pearl McCullough and his son, Michael A. McCullough. Victor, better known as Mack, was born on February 3rd, 1921 in Arnette Oklahoma, he was one of eight brothers and three sisters. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the U.S Army, serving in the Second World War.

He saw action in North Africa and Central Europe and received the American Defense Service Ribbon, the EAME Service Ribbon, one Silver Service Star and one Bronze Star. He served with the Army of Occupation in Japan and earned the Korean Service Medal and other decorations, including four Good Conduct Medals. Victor served in the Army for 24 years as an Enlisted Member and a Commissioned Officer.

After the service in the US Army he completed a second 17 year career in Civil Service. He worked at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey California, in the Electrical Engineering Department where he earned many Outstanding Performance Awards and Promotions. Mack enjoyed gardening, computer science, genealogy, nature and long walks.

He especially liked to tell his favorite stories about himself and two of his best friend army buddies. Everyone enjoyed hearing about his time spent in the military. He loved his family very much, often reminiscing about his family and the many family reunions that he attended over the years.

Victor is survived by his wife, Pearl, a brother Joe, sons Michael Anthony and Michael George, daughter Vickie Sue and Pearl’s daughters, Melba, Sandra and Tobie. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ora (Weeks), six brothers, three sisters, and two prior spouses, Georgia and June.

Victor’s family would like to thank Park Lane Assisted Living and Hospice Care for the kind and loving care provided to Victor. Victor was a member of the Carmel Presbyterian Church and will be inurned at Mission Memorial Park Cemetery in Seaside California. A memorial will be held at a later date at Park Lane Assisted Living to celebrate his life.
