Victor Alphonso Knott, 74, of Thurmont, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg, PA. Born November 18, 1944 in Thurmont, he was the son of the late Alphonso Angelo and Glenna Viola (Wolfe) Knott. Vic was a carpenter by trade and was a dependable and dedicated employee for all those he worked for.

He enjoyed tractors and old cars, going to flea markets and antique malls, and just getting in his old truck and riding into town. He was a member of St. Anthony Shrine Parish in Emmitsburg. Surviving are his sister, Ann Rohrbaugh and husband Robert of Fairfield, PA; and 9 nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Jean Miller and brother-in-law, James Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at St. Anthony Shrine Parish, 16150 St. Anthony Rd. , Emmitsburg, MD 21727 with the Rev.

Collin Poston as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Wednesday.

Arrangements have been entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Emmitsburg, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Vic’s name may be made to St. Anthony Shrine Parish at the above address.
