Vincent’s Obituary Vincent was born on October 16,1959 in Brooklyn NY to Lillie Mae and Philip Cooper. In July 1969, he was baptized in New Hope Baptist church. He was known to everyone as “Redd” because he was so light in skin color.

Vincent attended P.S 28, P.S 335, JHS 55 and Boys High in Brooklyn, NY. Vincent worked for various shipping and receiving companies throughout the NY market. Vincent had a love for sports at a very early age.

He loved baseball, basketball and football. He played for a youth baseball team named Pacific Street Team and The Restoration Basketball Team. As he got older’ he joined the baseball team The Genesis.

He became a die-hard Met’s, Jet’s and New York Knicks fan. He didn’t care how many times they lost or people talked about his teams, he would defend them to the end. Vincent was very social and got along with almost everybody.

You could always catch him riding his bike all over the place, even picked his kids up on it. He was chubby but always had skinny legs from riding his bike. If you didn’t catch him at the pool hall or Kingsborough Basketball Court you could always find him in the barbershop.

He would get a haircut every week to make sure his fade was always on point. He was very family orientated and loved to be around his loved ones. He would have jokes on everybody, He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Vincent met and married Kathleen Armstrong and from that union had 4 children and 1 stepson. He later met and married Yvonne Cooper and from that union he had 1 son and 1 Stepson. Over the years Vincent’s health began to take a turn for the worst and on December 18, 2018 he was called home.

Vincent is preceded in death by his father Philip Cooper and mother Lillie Mae Cooper. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife Yvonne Cooper; five children, KeishaArmstrong, Sha-QuanArmstrong, Takeima Armstrong, Sabrina Armstrong and Tarik Cooper; two brothers, Rodney and Randolph Cooper; two step sons, Na-QuanArmstrong and Denzel Ephraim, three grandchildren, Sa-Quan Armstrong, Shaniese Armstrong and Marcus Armstrong; two daughters-in-law, Yehoshebah Armstrong and Quandasia Brice; two sisters-in-law, Sheryl Williams Cooper and Sophia L. Cooper; three aunts, Helen Doe, Audrey Murph and Lisa Murph; four nieces, Niamah, Ebony, Lavonia and Laranda Cooper; two nephews, Raheem and Phillip Cooper, and a host of cousins and friends.
