Viola Hasty, 80, if Adairsville, GA, died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her home, following twelve years of declining health. She was born in Marshall County, AL on April 25, 1938, daughter of the late Noel and Lular Belle Corbin Christian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Arie Christian and his wife Francis of Arcadia, FL, Junior Christian of Arab, AL, Alexander Shirell Christian of South Carolina, and James Allen Christian of Arcadia; her sister, Annie Mae Chadwick and her husband Tommy of Guntersville, AL; and a grandchild, Cindy Garrison.

Viola had spent the greater part of her working career as a nurse. She was Charge Nurse at GA Regional Psychiatric Hospital. Survivors include her sons, Donald Lee Edwards of Albertville, AL, and Michael Anthony Hasty of Powder Springs, GA; her daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca Ann and Ronald Dewey Brendel of Adairsville, and Billie Jean Cason of Calhoun; a sister-in-law, Vickie Christian of South Carolina; grandchildren, Randall Garrison, Amanda Brendel, Ashley Brookshire, Crystal Norton, Tegan Brendel, Beth Edwards, Jennifer Edwards, Christian Edwards, Candy Cason, Timothy Cason, Andrea Lee, Anna Marie Hasty, and Amber Baker; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Garrison, Jace Garrison, Cole Wilbanks, Caleb Norton, Claudia Torres, Rowan Brookshire, Emma Brookshire, Raylan Lee, and Ryker McCall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services to honor the life of Viola Hasty will be held Tuesday, September 25th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Rubeo and Rev. Edward Atchley officiating.

Music will be arranged by the Atchley Family. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 3:00 PM.
