Violet J. Sims Sylacauga, AL – Funeral service for Violet J. Sims, 84, will be Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Cary Brown officiating. Burial will be in Childersburg City Cemetery in Childersburg, AL.

Mrs. Sims died Friday, May 24, 2019 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Sims, sister, Wilma Gilliland, brother, Samuel Thrash, brother, James Thrash, brother, Franklin Thrash, brother, Bill Thrash, and brother, Wayne Thrash. She is survived by her three daughters, Lawanda (James) Smith, Jamie (Craig Alan) Renstrom, Cindy (Curtis) Coleman; son, Terry (Diana) Thrash; 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Curtis Coleman and Sean Rothe. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.
