Obituary of Violet Csengery Violet Farkasdi Csengery, age 91, of Newtown, wife of the late Ernest Csengery, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Violet was born in Hungary on January 20, 1927, daughter of the late Sandor and Anna Majsa Farkasdi, and later came to the United States where she met her husband Ernest. She had worked as a seamstress for the Princess Pat Company for many years until her retirement.

Violet enjoyed gardening, creative sewing, and cooking for her friends and family. She is survived by her son, Thomas Csengery and his wife Cindy of Danbury, a daughter Violet Laviolette and her husband Thomas of Orlando, Florida, grandchildren Jason, Joshua, Sarah and Alexander, four great-grandchildren and a nephew, Julius. Funeral services were held privately with her entombment in the Mt.

Grove Chapel Mausoleum. Memorial donations can be made to Masonic Charity Foundation of Connecticut in her name. Arrangements in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
