Virginia Black, 71 of Sheridan passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born October 12, 1947 in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late James and Lora Green. Virginia was strong in her faith, and was a devoted prayer warrior.

She was a loving sister, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed planting and caring for her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Archie and Frank Arnold.

She is survived by her daughter Sonya Telice Bartlett (Ron) of Sims, Texas, grandchildren Aaron Hacket, Felicia Lunsford, Christopher and Devin Bartlett, and Veronica, Cassidy and Jace Bartlett all of Sims, Texas; and 5 great grandchildren. Sisters Mary Burton (Gerald) of Warren, Lavonne Terry (Bobby) of Sheridan, Ann McElroy (Wayne) of Sheridan, brothers Theadore Green (Monnia) of Mountain Home, and James Green (Brenda) of Rison. The family will hold a private memorial service 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Wolf Cemetery in Oppelo, Arkansas.
