Virginia’s Obituary Virginia Newby, 87, of Dallas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in Dallas. Virginia was born on Tuesday, August 17, 1931 in the small community of Melissa, Texas. Her parents are the late Troy Clifton Loftice and Oma Gertrude Gulledge Loftice.

Virginia married Raymond Everett Newby. Virginia was a homemaker and mother and she and Raymond raised four children together. She was a member of the First Baptist Church – Plano.

Virginia is survived by her children, Steven R. Newby and wife Sherry of Fort Worth, Linda K. May and husband Michael J. of Richardson, Matthew J. Newby and wife Laurie of Royse City and Phillip C. Newby and wife Pam of Miles City, Montana; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond Everett Newby, grandson Preston Newby and granddaughter, Kara Newby. Family and friends will come together to celebrate a life well lived on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. – 12 Noon at Allen Funeral Home Chapel.

Virginia’s son Pastor Phillip Newby will officiate.
