Virginia Elizabeth Hoffmann, age 100, of Neenah, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. She was born July 14, 1918 in Omro, the sixth of ten children, to the late Willis and Margaret (Rank) Young. Virginia met her future husband Ralph Hoffmann while working at a farm implement shop in Chilton.

She kept up a steady correspondence with Ralph as he served in the Navy during WWII. They were married on July 26, 1946. Virginia worked at The First National Bank of Neenah (aka Associated Bank) as a teller before having children and returned after the children were of school age and worked until her retirement in 1983.

Virginia enjoyed spending time gardening, reading, walking, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards and baking the best chocolate chip cookies. Virginia was a charter member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah and volunteered time as a money counter, cafeteria helper, and in many other roles. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

She was a very religious woman, hardworking and kind, with a sweet disposition. Deeply loved by her family she will truly be missed. Virginia is survived by four sons: John, Robert (Linda), Richard, and James (Diane); two daughters: Ann (Charles) Luebke and Patricia (Scott) Brown; four grandchildren: Lauren (Gerald) Sell and Eric Brown; Ryan (Kathryn) Hoffmann and Olivia Hoffmann; three great-grandchildren: Jackson and Quinn Sell, Nathaniel Hoffmann; three sisters: Dolores Fredricks, Phyllis Hirn, Joan Pagel, and one sister-in-law, Teresa Young.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19th, 2019 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 am until the time of services.

Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church. For online condolences, please visit: www.
