Resident of Eastcastle Place in Milwaukee, former resident of Whitefish Bay and North Lake, WI and Longboat Key, FL. Born in Milwaukee to Margaret (Lawton) and Oscar T. Bade on August 12, 1925.

Beloved wife for 63 years of the late James “Jim” H. Wheeler, Jr. Loving mother of Michael (Deborah McNear, M.D.) Wheeler, M.D. of Chenequa, Dana Wheeler Terracina of San Antonio, TX, Katie (John) Mehan of Whitefish Bay and the late James H. Wheeler, M.D., III. Cherished grandmother of James H. (Kaysee) Wheeler IV, Rachel (John) Hargis, Michael T. Wheeler, Thomas Wheeler, Peter Terracina, Paul Terracina, Meg (Mike) Kinateder, Jack Mehan, and great-grandmother of Claire and Thomas Kinateder, and Graham Hargis. Also survived by her nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

A lifelong Milwaukeean, Ginny was an enthusiastic leader, donor and fundraiser. She loved a great party, a good party; actually pretty much any kind of party as long as she was with family and friends. Among countless other contributions to our community, Ginny was active in Catholic Social Services, Christ Child Society, and Marquette University Women’s Council.

She was a decades-long friend and supporter of Dominican High School, a long-standing board member of the Arthritis Foundation and for over 30 years, a major supporter of and influential fundraiser for Camp Mash. A fan of Marquette Basketball since the early Bill Chandler era (! !

), Ginny has always been a tireless and energetic booster. Visitation will take place at St. Monica Catholic Church, 5635 N. Santa Monica Blvd. in Whitefish Bay, on Friday, December 28th, from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 AM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ginny’s name may be made to the Marquette University Blue and Gold Fund, P.O. Box 1881, Milwaukee, WI 53201; the Arthritis Foundation of Wisconsin Camp MASH, 1650 S. 108th Street, West Allis, WI 53214, or Dominican High School, 120 E. Silver Spring Drive, Whitefish Bay WI 53217.
