OBITUARY Virginia Joan Pendergrass May 2, 1927 – October 9, 2018 V. Joan Pendergrass, 91, of Kokomo, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at 1:25am at North Woods Village. She was born on May 2, 1927 to the late Lovell James and Minnie Gertrude (Arnold) Yerigan.

She married Kenneth W. Pendergrass on March 26, 1944 in Indianapolis, and he preceded her in death on January 2014. Joan retired from Delco Electronics in 1989 after being employed 30 years. She was a member of the UAW #292.

Joan was an avid reader and enjoyed cross wood puzzles. Joan is survived by two daughters, Deidre Pendergrass and Kathryn (Fred) Gross; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; two sisters, Donna (Richard) Tansey and Sonnie DeBruyn; and many nieces and nephews. Joan is preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years; Kenneth W. Pendergrass; son, Kenneth W. Pendergrass Jr.; daughter, Dixie Lea Pendergrass; grandson, George E. Perkins Jr.; four brothers; and three sisters.

There will be a private funeral service for family.
