OBITUARY Virginia L. Cobb Golighty February 11, 1927 – November 17, 2018 Virginia L. Cobb Golighty, 91, of Birmingham, AL. passed away on November 17, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert W. and Katherine Drennen Lowry; husband, Howell C. Cobb, Jr.; son, Howell (Hank) C. Cobb, III and husband, Luther T. Robertson.

She is survived by her husband, John Golightly; cousins, Mike (Linda) Drennen, Dr. Robert (Marilyn) Drennen, Robert (Susan) Lowry, Mary (Thor) Wilson and Phoenix Wilson ; stepchildren, Carol (John) Sasser, Ann (John) Faucett and David (Connie) Anderson. She attended Gulf Park College, Auburn University and Samford University. Virginia was the owner of Cobb Travel.

She was also a charter member of the Asian Art Society, Amulets and The Club. She was a member of Vestavia Country Club, organizer and founder of the Charity League, San Pleur Theater, Coronets, and Opera Guild. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Charity League.
