Mrs. Virginia M. Chancellor, 92, widow of the late Mr. Fred Chancellor, entered into rest Friday, July 06, 2018 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Author McCrary and Mrs. Susan Lee Smith McCrary. Mrs. Chancellor was a native of Harris County, Georgia, but had lived in Thomson for many years.

She was a member of the Agape Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church of Thomson. She was also a member of Young at Heart, loved gardening and flowers, and was known as a people person, loving to talk to many. Mrs. Chancellor is survived by a son, Robert Chancellor; three daughters, Beth Chancellor, Susan Rogers (Alan), Callie Anne Chancellor; and two grandchildren, Evelyn Virginia Chancellor and Chancellor Taylor Rogers.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to caregiver, Jeannie McNair, Regency Hospice, and the Cancer Center at Augusta University Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or cancer research. Fly High Bag Lady!

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family has chosen to have a celebration of life with a visitation at a later date. Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
