OBITUARY Virginia Rose Elliott January 18, 1934 – September 21, 2018 Virginia “Gin” Rose (Thomas) Elliott, 84, passed away peacefully September 21, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born January 18, 1934 in Clinton, Indiana to William and Dorothy (Bender) Thomas. She graduated from Brazil High School in 1952.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Clay County Christian Quilters, and Emmaus Community. In her free time, she loved gardening, reading, quilting, making ceramics, and making and baking Christmas candy. She loved spending time with everyone and treated everybody she met like her family.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John W. Elliott; great-grandson, CD Pickett; one brother, William Thomas; one sister, Ramonia Hullet; and lifelong friend, Christine. Survivors include her five children, Joani R. (Gilbert) Lanham, John R. Elliott, Joyce R. (Brian) Fatch, Janet R. Elliott, Jennifer R. (Dewitt) Warren; grandchildren, Christy Pickett and boyfriend Lloyd, Jamie (Chad) Head, Renee (Clay) Frazier, Steven Snow and girlfriend Taylor, Caitlyn Elliott, Caleb (Chantael) Elliott, Nat( Annie) Taylor, Brandon, Kurtis, and Kody Fatch, Jeni (Ryan) Stoehr, Jay Bridgewater, Tanner and Hunter Barr, Justin, Emily, and Katie Grace Warren; great-grandchildren, Tori, Danielle, Dillan, Brooklyn, Tyler, Kylee, Bryden, Piper, Quincy, Kaden, Libby, Avery, Cale, Carter, Ryleigh Roo, and Jonathan in November; one sister, Dorothy (Rich) Sears; two brothers, Robert (Jodi) Thomas, Jack (Shirley) Thomas; special friends, Mary Lou and Marilyn; her beloved dog, Goldie; and many nieces and nephews. Per Virginia’s wishes, cremation has been chosen.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Harmony United Methodist Church at a later date. In keeping with Virginia’s love for the Lord, memorials may be directed to House of Hope, FBC Christian Youth Camp, or where your heart leads you to give.
