OBITUARY Virlyn Thomas Hart February 16, 1932 – December 2, 2018 Virlyn Thomas Hart, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 2, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in his death by his parents, Reuben Ragsdale Hart and Alma Jean Thomas Hart. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol Sue Kelley Hart, daughter Suzanne Hart Adams and her husband Terry Adams, daughter Leighanne Hart Soden and her husband Jack Soden, grandson Alex Adams, and granddaughter Morganne Adams Robinson and her husband Drew Robinson.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force having served from 1951 – 1955. He received National Defense Service and Good Conduct Medals. Upon honorable discharge, he went to work with his father at Hart & Son Construction and owned the business for the next 50 years.

In addition, he was a flight instructor having taught hundreds of students to fly. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 at Moss Service Funeral Home. The family will receive guests at a reception immediately following the service.

A private burial will be held at Etha Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to The West Institute for Cancer Research, www. westcancercenter.org/philanthropy , or mail to The West Institute, 7945 Wolf River Boulevard, Germantown, Tennessee, 38138.
