OBITUARY Vitale L. Mattia December 13, 1928 – December 11, 2018 Vitale L. Mattia age 89 of Holiday City South, Berkeley Twp. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday December 11th. He was a Sheriff’s Officer for Es County retiring in 1987.

Vitale was predeceased by his wife Gloria nee Pignato in 1994, his sister Columbia Milano and his brother Salvatore Mattia. He was the proud father of Gloria Piro and Debra Antonucci, also he was the proud grandfather of Jennifer Goodwin, Christina Velardi, Gena Antonucci and Matthew Antonucci and 5 great grandchildren Adrianna, Tommy Vito, Julianna, Francesca and Shea. Vitale’s siblings are Josephine Fitzgerald and Albert Mattia.

Vitale also had the finest in laws Guy, Gennaro, Tom, Christopher and Jaclyn. “Happy Birthday Dear Pop We Love you”. Visiting will be Friday from 2-6 pm with a funeral service at 4 pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Rd.

Toms River. Cremation will be private.
