OBITUARY Wallace Edwards Jr. February 5, 1945 – November 5, 2018 Wallace Edwards Jr., age 73, passed away on Monday November 5, 2018. Wallace was born February 5, 1945. In 1945, Wallace Edwards Jr. was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

As a young boy, he and his family moved to Houston, Texas. There, Wallace attended Jesse Jones High School and graduated in the year of 1963. During his time there, he met the future love of his life, Marcella.

He then continued to pursue an education at Texas Tech until he joined the United States Air Force in the year of 1965. This same year, he and Marcella had fallen in love and changed their title from high school sweethearts to husband and wife. After the time he spent serving his country in the Air Force, Wallace worked for Bechtel, the largest construction company in the United States.

He continued his career with them in the IT department until his retirement in 2014. Wallace is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marcella, his loving parents Mr. and Mrs. William Edwards Sr., and dearest sister Sherrie. He is survived by his son, William W. Edwards III, daughter, Michelle Smith and her husband Jeff, and his adored grandchildren Courtney Johnson, Quay Edwards, Arianna Smith.

A visitation for Wallace will be held Monday, November 12, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, Texas 77023. A funeral service will occur Monday, November 12, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A graveside will occur Monday, November 12, 2018 at 12:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, Texas 77023.
