Walter (Ben) Cromeans age 57 of Taylor, Texas, passed away on February 9, 2019 in Whitney, Texas. Memorial services will be 4 P.M., Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Walter Benton Cromeans was born on March 3, 1961 in Dallas, Texas to Walter Jay and Betty Louise Ratliff Cromeans.

He married Susan Murphree on August 4, 2017 in Galveston, Texas. During his free time he enjoyed gardening, fishing, going to the beach, and most of all spending time and spoiling his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Susan Cromeans of Taylor, Texas; mother, Julia Cromeans of Clifton, Texas; siblings, Laurie Durham of Laguna Park, Gary Cromeans, Kendall Cromeans of Clifton; sons, Thomas King of Mesquite, and Kenneth King of Fort Worth; 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Walter Jay and Betty Lousie Ratliff Cromeans. Words of comfort and peace can be sent to the family at www. lawsonfuneralhome.net.
